This is by integrating the project management standards and frameworks with ITSM standards and frameworks to be applied in synergy so that benefits of applying both management areas can be wielded together for a greater benefit.   The problem that the consulting service tackles is when IT Service Providers organizations are faced with the need to follow or comply with a project management framework within their project management team, while on the other hand the IT team is applying or need to comply with an ITSM framework, so how the synergetic interactions between the two teams will be managed? Examples of project management frameworks that apply here are PMBOK®, PRINCE®, Agile, ISO® standards, and others. Examples of ITSM frameworks may include ITIL®, ISO® standards, CMMI-SVC®, among others.   The consulting service assumes only that that need exists within the organization, and expects that there is already project management staff and IT staff within the organization to act as resources who will implement the service in the organization. The consulting service, however, doesn’t assume that the organization has any specific maturity level in either project management or ITSM, and assessment of the current maturity levels and improvement needs is actually a component of the service.   The broad line phases of the service implementation are mainly:   1. Project Management Maturity Assessment (e.g. using OPM3® model). 2. ITSM practices Maturity Assessment (against a selected and agreed upon model). 3. PMO Establishment (if one doesn’t exist) 4. Developing Project Management Methodology based on a selected formal standard / framework 5. Developing an ITSM Methodology based on a selected formal standard / framework 6. Integration between the developed project management methodology and ITSM methodology 7. Deployment of the developed integrated methodologies, including supporting documentation (processes, templates, and software tools) 8. Staff training and orientation during deployment 9. Review, audit, cultural change management, and continual improvement of the deployed practices     Resources needed at the customer site to implement the service include:   1. Project management staff (or PMO staff if exists) 2. IT department staff (specialties depend on the specific services provided by the organization)     Target Customers:   The service is targeted to IT Service Provider organizations, like internet service providers, mobile service providers, software applications development service providers, … etc.     Consulting Service Implementation Timeframe:   The service is implemented by facilitation approach using resources and staff at the customer site over a period of 5 years.     PMITTM is a trademark of the OneWayForward Inc.
